Health care delivery is changing..The "revolution" may already be here. We are nurses, health professions students, allied health professionals & educators. Healthier families and communities are possible, but not "likely" under the current allopathic (illness, injury, & disease) paradigm.
You are learning how to heal. You are teaching others how to provide "holistic" care. This is your time to speak up and act out. Holism is the new paradigm.
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK 2/14/2010: "Watch the movie "Sicko" today with a friend. The health care system in our country is not broken, it is running well (for profiteers). But, who does it really benefit? Look at who makes the largest amount of money: Health insurance companies, technology and diagnostic companies, health management systems, and hospital corporations. It is impossible to maintain wars and "occupations" world-wide, and focus on the health of Americans. Ask more questions! Listen well. Get involved!" |
